Oral Appliances – For treating sleep apnea & snoring

Snoring is a major cause of frustration in relationships and is detrimental to the sleep of both the snorer and those sleeping nearby. Over 70% of people who regularly snore have sleep apnoea – most of whom are totally unaware of it.

Obstructive sleep apnoea (OSA) is a condition in which the soft tissues of the throat, including the tongue, collapse and flop back against the throat. This blocks the upper airway and obstructs and can stop air flow. When blood oxygen levels drop low enough, the brain sends a signal to partially wake the sleeper to clear to obstruction, usually with a gasp or a cough. Most people are not aware that this is occurring.
